Today I Am Featured On The Ebay Underground Blog!

Today I am being featured on the Ebay Underground blog! Please stop by Jessica Calhoun's popular blog for resellers and learn about how I started thrifting and reselling. I also reveal my favorite item to watch for while thrifting. Can you guess what it is?

Go see the feature here! Ebay Underground

This is the first item I ever resold on ebay, 14.99 + s&h. It was mine when I was a kiddo...

If you are a reseller, what is the first item you ever resold?

    1. thx paulette :) ebay can be tough sometimes, i find because of the non-paying buyers. when i first started is when i seemed to have the most hassle with unpaids, i do think it was because the buyer knew that i was a new seller. i pushed through that and it has paid off. i also stopped doing auctions, so i think that is the key to lowering unpaid item cases. maybe give etsy a try...their marketplace is a bit more friendly :)

  4. Congrats on being featured on the Ebay Underground. Very interesting. I am mostly an Etsy seller. I buyer issues on Ebay, but that is probably because I only do auctions. I need to look into doing a Buy It Now. My time on Etsy (since last July) has been awesome. Wonderful people there. My first sale, I think was a Cat Cookie Jar.

    1. love that your first sale was a cat cookie jar! etsy is a much friendlier environment. ebay has toughened me up a bit. i never understand why people buy something and then take forever to pay. i am starting to get over that though, cause now i just have ebay open and close my unpaid item cases for me! ebay is my bread and butter, but my etsy shop is more of my passion.

  5. Just popping by to check out your blog, like Jessica at EU suggested. Blog looks great. You're doing really well for someone who started so recently. I too read the article about ebay auction vs store, and opened my store immediately. I love it, I sell mostly on ebay, but also have an etsy store and a bonanza store. (Having 2nd thoughts about the latter) ; )

  8. Hmm, I'm definitely a hoarder first, reseller a distant second, but I think the first thing I ever sold was a yellow Pyrex fridgie.

Great article and insight - it's amazing how quickly you've racked up the ebay sales! I'm still too scared to sell on Ebay and have stayed within the small limits of Craigslist...

  10. Rachael! I feel like it has been too long! Go Rainbow Brite! First item I ever resold was a set of 3 illy espresso cups for $110, picked up at the Goodwill for $3! Well, I guess that is if you don't count all the random house stuff I have sold on Craigslist!
